7th January 2010, a well-known composer, pianist and teacher joined the circle of nine people who were awarded the title of the Honorary Citizen of Lublin. In the eyes of the citizens of Lublin, Professor Andrzej Nikodemowicz has an outstanding biography. On Thursday, in Lublin Town Hall, accompanied by the sounds of a bugle call and the shouting of the town crier announcing the conferment of the title, a banner with the picture of Professor Nikodemowicz appeared among the nine names of the Honorary Citizens of Lublin.

	The Union of Lublin in a film and under debate

Mayor Adam Wasilewski invites all inhabitants of Lublin to an opening night of “From Union to Union”, a film directed by Andrzej Marek Drążewski. The premiere will be held on 26th January (Tuesday) at 7pm in the Basilica of the Dominican Friars in Lublin.

	European Educational Projects in 2009

In 2009, the Department of Educational Projects in co-operation with the Department of Education and Human Development received funds in the amount of PLN 2,231,294 to implement the following projects: ‘I go to a kindergarten, too’ - Thanks to the financial support of PLN 916,040 from the European Social Fund within the Human Capital Operational Programme, in the period of 01.08.2009 - 31.07.2012, 201 children from four kindergartens in Lublin will receive free care. Also speech therapists and psychologists will be employed.
